Hastings Direct is seeking a Senior Claims Handler – Bodily Injury to manage a portfolio of bodily injury claims up to £50,000. You will investigate liability, negotiate settlements, and collaborate with solicitors and third parties to achieve fair outcomes in line with policy and liability.

Based in the UK with options around Bexhill or Leicester, you will join a digital insurer focused on data and tech. The role emphasizes strong communication, stakeholder management and adherence to the 4Cs

Qualifications

• Experience handling bodily injury/personal injury claims up to £50,000.
• Excellent problem-solving and written/verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management with a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities

• Gather information to reach liability decisions and pursue appropriate recoveries to limit exposure.
• Settle third-party claims within financial authority using department strategies.
• Identify potential fraud and coordinate with relevant departments.
• Negotiate with customers, solicitors and third parties for optimal outcomes.
• Own and manage the customer experience while adhering to Treating Customers Fairly guidelines.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to meet SLAs and governance.
