Job summary

Skilled Careers seeks an experienced BMS Project Manager to own the BMS package on a flagship data centre project in East London. You will manage the BMS subcontractor from installation through commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, quality and programme performance.

Working for a Tier-1 contractor, you will coordinate with MEP teams, review technical submittals and drive progress meetings to deliver the project on time. Immediate start and long-term prospects on offer.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering BMS packages on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of Building Management Systems, controls and commissioning.
• Experience managing specialist BMS subcontractors on behalf of a main contractor.
• Experience on data centre, commercial, pharmaceutical, healthcare or similar mission-critical projects is desirable.
• Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor background handling MEP/BMS packages.
• Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• SMSTS and CSCS are essential; First Aid is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the BMS subcontractor through the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate BMS works with MEP contractors and the wider construction team.
• Monitor programme, quality and installation progress.
• Review technical submittals, RFIs and design documentation.
• Chair progress meetings and coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and the client team.
• Manage commissioning activities through to practical completion.
• Ensure testing, commissioning and handover documentation is completed.
• Identify project risks and drive programme delivery.
• Report progress to Project Director and Senior Management.
