Job summary

NHS Scotland is inviting applications for a full-time Senior Biomedical Scientist at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, delivering the full range of diagnostic pathology services to NHS Tayside.

You will hold HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist and an IBMS accredited MSc in Biomedical Science, with CPD, training and competence assessments, and contribute to a UKAS-accredited laboratory.

Qualifications

• Must hold HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
• IBMS accredited MSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
• Continuing professional development and be prepared to undertake training and competence-based assessments.

Responsibilities

• Work in a busy diagnostic department handling ~50,000 surgical pathology specimens annually.
• Undertake extensive training and completion of competence-based assessments.
• Contribute to the department's training activities and maintain UKAS accreditation status.
