NHS Tayside is seeking an HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to lead the Virology Laboratory Service based at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. You will drive professional leadership and operational excellence in a UKAS accredited laboratory serving NHS Scotland Health Boards.

The post requires extensive senior Virology experience, ISO15189:2022 knowledge, and collaboration with governance leads, training teams, and safety officers. The role is anchored at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.

Qualificações

• HCPC registration is required.
• Extensive experience as a Biomedical Scientist with senior level experience in Virology or a related microbiology discipline in a hospital.
• Knowledge of ISO15189:2022 and regulatory requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage all aspects of the Virology Laboratory Service within a UKAS accredited Medical Laboratory.
• Provide professional, scientific leadership and ensure service delivery aligns with governance and safety standards.
• Work with the Diagnostics Laboratories Executive Team and report to the Clinical Laboratory Manager.
