University of Salford is seeking an experienced Senior Technician (Biochemistry and Chemical Sciences) to join our technical team. This hands-on role is based primarily within our Cockcroft laboratories, coordinating technical provision in teaching laboratories.

You’ll need a strong practical background in biochemistry, organic chemistry and chemical safety, with the ability to plan laboratory activities and support colleagues.

• Oversee and coordinate technical provision within teaching laboratories, ensuring activities are planned and resourced.
• Coordinate technical preparation with academic colleagues to meet teaching requirements.

• Provide specialist technical expertise in biochemistry, chemistry and chemical safety, maintaining safe lab operations.
• Collaborate with other Senior Technicians to support improvements in laboratory processes and standards.
