University of Salford (Personnel) is seeking a Senior Technician (Biochemistry & Chemical Sciences) to join the Cockcroft laboratories. The role focuses on overseeing and coordinating technical provision for teaching laboratories in biochemistry and chemical sciences, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficient planning.

The successful candidate will work with academic colleagues to prepare, resource and support laboratory activities, sharing expertise across teaching and research

Competenze

• Strong practical background in biochemistry and organic chemistry.
• Experience ensuring chemical safety and compliant lab practices.
• Ability to plan laboratory activities and coordinate resources.

Mansioni

• Oversee and coordinate technical provision within teaching laboratories.
• Review teaching requirements and coordinate technical preparation, equipment and resources.
• Coordinate technical workloads and provide guidance to other technicians and colleagues.
• Provide specialist technical expertise in biochemistry and chemistry and maintain safe lab operations.
• Collaborate with other Senior Technicians to support teaching and research infrastructure.
