The University of Salford is seeking an experienced Senior Technician to lead technical provision in the Biochemistry and Chemical Sciences teaching laboratories at Cockcroft. You will plan and coordinate activities, ensuring resources and safety standards are maintained while supporting teaching and research infrastructure.
Based in the Cockcroft laboratories, you will work with other Senior Technicians to support teaching provision and share expertise with colleagues supporting Chemical
Competenze
- Strong practical background in biochemistry and organic chemistry.
- Experience in coordinating teaching laboratory resources.
- Knowledge of chemical safety and safe laboratory operations.
Mansioni
- Oversee and coordinate technical provision within teaching laboratories, ensuring activities are planned, resourced and supported.
- Review teaching requirements with academic colleagues and coordinate preparation, equipment and resources.
- Coordinate technical workloads within own area and provide guidance to technicians.
- Provide specialist technical expertise in biochemistry, chemistry and chemical safety, maintaining safe operations.
- Collaborate with other Senior Technicians across teaching and research infrastructure to share expertise and improve processes.
