Job summary

Mech Electrics Limited is seeking a Senior BIM Coordinator to lead MEP coordination to LOD 400 and fabrication level for an off-site manufacturing facility in Heywood. You will produce manufacturing-ready BIM data and liaise with manufacturing teams.

Key tasks include developing coordinated MEP models, creating fabrication-level information, and maintaining BIM libraries while aligning with project engineers and CAD/BIM technicians.

Qualifications

• BIM professional with fabrication-level MEP information
• Experience delivering LOD 400 models for fabrication and assembly
• Ability to coordinate across digital engineering and manufacturing teams
• Strong understanding of how MEP services are assembled and installed
• Experience developing BIM families, libraries or catalogues
• Familiarity with off-site manufacturing and DfMA principles
• Knowledge of data centre project delivery is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop coordinated MEP models through to LOD 400
• Produce fabrication and assembly-level model information
• Model mechanical and electrical services and supports
• Maintain BIM families, components, libraries and catalogs
• Create detailed assemblies and manufacturing-ready information
• Produce 3D visuals to support engineering and manufacturing
• Review models for constructability and spatial coordination
• Collaborate with CAD/BIM technicians and engineers
• Support standardised modular assemblies and repeatable BIM content
• Coordinate with manufacturing team and incorporate shop-floor feedback
• Ensure assemblies reflect the project model and installation needs
• Support continuous BIM and DfMA process improvements
