Role Purpose:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Billing Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end billing process, ensuring accurate and timely invoice delivery, resolving billing queries, and driving continuous improvement in billing operations. You will act as a subject matter expert and point of escalation for both internal and external stakeholders, while also contributing to process optimization and team development.

Key responsibilities:

Billing Operations:

1. Manage the full billing cycle for services and raw materials, including invoice creation, validation, and delivery
2. Utilise e-billing platforms (e.g., Ariba) to upload invoices, monitor portals, and address billing queries
3. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer queries
4. Provide data and support for internal and external audits.
5. Onboard new customers and ensure compliance with company policies

Team & Stakeholder Management:

1. Serve as the first point of escalation for billing-related issues from internal and external stakeholders
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Operations, IT) to resolve billing challenges and improve processes
3. Train, mentor and guide new billing team members
4. Develop and maintain comprehensive work instructions and process documentation
5. Support management with reporting, data analysis, and team guidance
6. Provide regular feedback to personnel on performance and communicate to Global Billing Manager

Process Improvement:

1. Proactively identify and analyze root causes of billing errors and inefficiencies
2. Implement process improvements to streamline billing operations and enhance accuracy
3. Promote a culture of "getting it right the first time" within the billing team

Key requirements:

Experience:

1. Multiple years of experience in a high-volume billing environment, preferably within a shared services or multinational organisation
2. Proven track record of successfully handling the end-to-end billing process
3. Experience with e-billing platforms (e.g., Ariba, Coupa) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
4. Strong understanding of billing regulations and best practices
5. Strong experience in guiding team members on resolution of issues.
