Permanent - Full Time - 37.5 hours

Salary £30,000 - £35,000 (Plus bonus)

We are seeking a self-driven, detail-oriented Billing Specialist to manage our multicurrency billing cycle for our Proclinical entities in the UK and Switzerland. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of invoices, supporting our financial processes and revenue recognition activities. The ideal candidate will excel in a collaborative environment, working closely with internal teams such as Payroll, Operations, and Sales.

Every day you will…

1. Generate invoices for various clients, ensuring accuracy and correct allocation to accounts.
2. Process multicurrency invoices for contract placements with 100% accuracy.
3. Collaborate across multiple business functions and payroll to ensure timesheets align and discrepancies are addressed promptly.
4. Work with the wider team and finance manager to run monthly and annual audit cycles.
5. Manage billing queries from external clients, working towards a 24-hour resolution.

To thrive in this role, you should ideally have…

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a billing role, preferably within recruitment, consultancy, or professional services.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables; experience with finance platforms like Great Plains, Bullhorn, or similar CRM systems.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in billing and documentation.
• Solid understanding of timesheet-based billing and portal-based self-billing clients.
• Knowledge of UK and EU invoicing standards, including VAT compliance.
• Ability to prioritize and work independently to meet tight deadlines, especially at month-end.
• Strong problem-solving skills and initiative in billing and finance operations.
