Job summary

Carter Murray is partnering with a leading law firm in Glasgow to recruit an experienced Bids Manager. You will lead end-to-end bid, tender, proposal and panel processes, shaping compelling submissions and supporting growth across the firm.

Reporting to the senior BD leadership, you will coordinate cross-practice teams, develop win themes with partners, analyse client needs and drive governance and continuous improvement of the bid function.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing bids, proposals or pursuits within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple complex opportunities simultaneously.
• Exceptional writing, editing and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience working directly with partners and senior leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of bids, tenders, proposals and panel appointments across the firm.
• Partner with partners and Business Development teams to develop pursuit strategies and win themes.
• Manage complex and high-value opportunities, ensuring submissions are delivered to a consistently high standard.
• Coach and challenge stakeholders to produce compelling, client-focused content.
• Coordinate cross-practice and cross-office bid teams to meet deadlines and client requirements.
• Analyse client needs, market trends and competitor activity to strengthen proposal strategies.
• Drive best practices, processes and bid governance across the firm.
• Monitor bid performance, win rates and lessons learned to support ongoing improvement initiatives.
