Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Bid Manager for the Energy sector in Derby. You will own high-value tenders and major frameworks, shaping bid strategy and coordinating technical and commercial teams to deliver compelling submissions.

Hybrid role with three days in the office and two days remote, offering autonomy within a growing international organisation and a pipeline across energy infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bid Manager within the Energy sector.
• Experience leading high-value infrastructure bids and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of PQQs, ITTs, governance processes and tender submissions.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written communication, organisational and project management skills.
• Experience in power transmission, distribution, substations or underground cabling is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Taking full ownership of the bid process from initial PQQ through to final submission.
• Leading complex, high-value infrastructure bids and framework opportunities.
• Developing bid strategies, win themes and compelling submissions.
• Coordinating subject matter experts to produce high-quality responses.
• Managing bid programmes, deadlines and resources to meet tender requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with governance and client tender requirements.
• Collaborating with estimating, engineering, commercial and operations teams.
• Identifying risks and differentiators to strengthen submissions.
• Contributing to continuous improvements in bid processes and outcomes.
