Job description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in Warrington as a Senior Bid Manager.

The Senior Bid Management Lead will be responsible for leading an industry-leading bid writing function encompassing all liquid fuels, HVO, solar, ASHPs, battery storage, hydrogen, and any new products brought to market at Certas Energy. The bid-writing team will operate as a core function, supporting all levels of the business within Energy Solutions and Roadside Services. This team will consist of sector specialists who deliver excellence in their areas and manage the end-to-end bid lifecycle.

In this role, you will lead a centralised bid function at Certas Energy, working closely with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels. By optimising the bid lifecycle, we aim to deliver a customer-centred offer, win business, drive growth, and improve retention. The commercial benefit through the Bid Writing & Commercial Team, based on retention and new opportunities won/sold, will exceed £12m PBIT.

Are you a Bid Manager looking for a new challenge? We're looking for:

  • Extensive bid management experience with a proven track record of leading successful, high-value bids in a complete and competitive environment
  • Strong experience of delivering large multi-site organisation projects
  • Exceptional leadership and strategic project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and large-scale projects under tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, able to inspire, influence, and instil key stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to collaborate, working with a diverse group of people in a professional manner, and manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Creativity, ability to continuously improve and drive results
  • Courage to pick up new work, investigate the best options for the company, and deliver high-level briefings and action plans
  • BA honours degree or equivalent in any subject
  • 2-3 A Levels or equivalent in addition to undergraduate degree
  • Full clean driving licence
  • IT literacy
  • Experience in managing a multi-million P&L
  • Passion or interest in sustainability and energy transition
  • Energy Industry experience
