This is a senior role within the bid team, managing and writing our larger, more complex, and/or more strategic bids for a wide range of key clients.

You will:

  1. Project-manage bid responses, supporting a wide variety of subject matter experts and contributors to create their best work.
  2. Author clear, compelling, compliant responses that help us secure new logos, target clients, and key accounts.
  3. Support colleagues across the business to upskill on managing and contributing to bids, building our capability.
  4. Support your colleagues in the bid team with reviews and occasional escalations.

We’re looking for an experienced bid and proposal writer/manager to join our Bid Team. This is a hands-on role, with end-to-end responsibility for managing bid progress and shaping and writing responses.

You’ll work with teams of subject matter experts to deliver compelling bids, proposals, and presentations that demonstrate how BJSS can go the extra mile for clients.

As the lynchpin of each bid, you’ll influence how we tell our story, approach requirements, and structure our responses.

You’ll join a close-knit team of bid managers, bid coordinators, and reviewers working together to achieve excellent results. When facing deadlines or needing advice, support will always be available.

The team collaborates with the wider business to improve bid and proposal processes.

As a Senior Bid Manager, you will lead in this continuous improvement, handle queries from colleagues, and model best practices.

About You

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Recent experience in a hybrid bid management/writing role, managing and writing for formal bid submissions in public and/or private sectors.
  • Experience within the technology sector, familiar with our types of work and roles at BJSS, ready to start after onboarding.
  • Experience in related fields (e.g., professional services) to bring cross-industry ideas.
  • First-class writing skills, capable of producing clear, well-structured, persuasive responses.
  • Ability to review, evaluate, and challenge contributions to optimize responses.
  • Experience leading large, diverse, and time-constrained bid response teams on complex bids.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
  • Proven responsibility for key initiatives and positive impacts in previous roles.
