We're looking for a Senior Bid Manager to join our team.

Hours: 37.5, Monday to Friday

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Bid Manager, you'll work closely with the pre-construction teams and other senior stakeholders within the business to identify bid strategies early and effectively manage the full bid lifecycle.

Your day-to-day will include:

1. Taking early involvement opportunities with clients to understand needs, identify opportunities, and tailor bid strategies.
2. Assisting in assembling bid teams, identifying key knowledge and expertise relevant to specific bids.
3. Arranging and chairing Bid Meetings with relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate communication, setting strategy, timescales, and input obligations.
4. Driving engagement and collaboration with subject matter experts to ensure timely receipt of technical information.
5. Interrogating information from internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment with the bid strategy.
6. Guiding, reviewing, and editing bid writing outputs to ensure alignment with the bid vision.
7. Attending feedback sessions with clients and coordinating tender queries and amendments.
8. Presenting confidently to internal and external stakeholders.
9. Seeking opportunities to learn about MMC methodology, industry, and technological advancements to keep Kier at the forefront of modern delivery.

What are we looking for?

This role is ideal if you have:

• Experience managing bid services within a tier 1 construction environment.
• Strong construction knowledge gained in bidding, technical, or commercial roles within large contractors.
• Understanding of framework procurement principles and experience with current procurement methods.
• Knowledge of best practice solutions, innovation, Lean Construction, and 5D cost planning is desirable.
• Understanding of BIM, ability to read and assemble BIM models, and produce reports is desirable.
• Membership of a relevant professional body, such as CIOB, RIBA, RICS, or ICE.
