Job summary

HM Revenue & Customs is seeking a Senior Data & Trials Analyst within the Customer Understanding & Behaviour (CUB) team in a permanent role. You will apply behavioural insights and data-driven evidence to enhance tax compliance, financial decision-making, and customer experience.

Qualifications

• An analytical degree (2:1) or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Proven track record of designing and evaluating behavioural interventions.
• Experience of running field trials and analyzing quantitative data with regression and inferential statistics.
• Strong coding experience in R and data cleaning/management.
• Ability to communicate evidence clearly to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead evaluations of behavioural interventions in a timely and organised manner.
• Run behavioural field evaluations including randomised controlled trials (RCTs).
• Support robust statistical analysis and interpretation of trial data.
• Draw insights from data and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across policy, compliance and operations.
