Job summary

HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) is seeking a Senior Data & Trials Analyst within the Customer Understanding & Behaviour (CUB) team. You will apply behavioural insights and data-driven evidence to improve tax compliance, financial decision-making, and customer experience.

In this permanent role, you will lead high-impact evaluations, design field trials, analyze quantitative data, and influence stakeholders across policy, compliance, and operations.

Qualifications

• Design and evaluate behavioural field trials.
• Run randomised controlled trials (RCTs).
• Apply inferential statistics to trial data.
• Communicate findings to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Design field trials and evaluation frameworks.
• Analyse experimental data using statistics.
• Lead scoping, problem-solving and behavioural diagnosis.
• Build stakeholder relationships and communicate complex findings.
• Collaborate with CUB and CXD teams to deliver priorities.
