Job summary

Clyde & Co is seeking a Senior Client and Business Development Manager to lead strategic growth across the professional services and insurance sectors. You will drive revenue growth, strengthen client relationships, and shape go‑to‑market plans with partners and senior lawyers in the UK and internationally.

The role includes supervising a BD team, coordinating with global peers, and delivering campaigns, pitches and thought leadership to support firm strategy and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Significant BD or client development experience in a law firm, professional services, or insurance environment.
• Strong understanding of the professional services sector and its drivers.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategic growth plans.
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills with experience managing or supporting key accounts.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and work with partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive BD strategy for specific sectors across the firm.
• Coach partners and senior associates on pitches and relationship management.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams in creating pitch proposals and RFP responses.
• Collaborate with marketing to deliver campaigns, thought leadership, and events for growth.
• Identify cross-sector collaboration opportunities and work with risk, regulatory, disputes, corporate and employment teams.
• Act as a client-facing representative, mapping relationships and expanding opportunities.
• Monitor pipelines, budgets, KPIs and revenue targets with Senior BD Leadership.
