Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting on behalf of a unique Scottish organisation to appoint a senior business development leader. You will lead commercial growth, develop new income streams, and build strategic partnerships that support life-changing educational opportunities across Scotland.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will own revenue growth across income-generating activities, manage marketing and bids, and contribute to strategy as part of the management team.

Qualifications

• Strong track record of delivering commercial growth and income generation.
• Experience identifying and securing new business opportunities.
• Experience developing and delivering bids, tenders or funding applications.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Experience creating and executing marketing strategies.
• Previous people management experience.
• Commercial awareness with entrepreneurial thinking.
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with operational delivery.
• Experience in education, charity, third sector or mission-led sectors is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Grow and maximise existing commercial income streams.
• Identify, develop and implement new business opportunities.
• Lead business development and marketing strategies.
• Support fundraising initiatives, bids and partnership development.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, customers and strategic partners.
• Oversee digital marketing activity, including website performance and lead generation.
• Manage and develop the Marketing & Events Officer.
• Contribute to organisational strategy as a member of the management team.
