Job summary

Complete Talent Services Ltd is recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business and expand the non-ferrous product portfolio across Scotland. You will identify opportunities, craft value propositions and secure profitable new contracts while also expanding existing customer relationships.

The role involves researching markets, building multi-level relationships with decision makers, and leading strategic sales plans with regular travel throughout Scotland.

Qualifications

• Experience in Business Development / Sales within metal stockist or non-ferrous materials preferred.
• Strong knowledge of non-ferrous material supply chains is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of generating and converting new business opportunities.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness with margins, pricing and profitability understanding.
• Experience managing complex negotiations and closing commercial contracts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across Scotland and targeted sectors.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase revenue and profitability.
• Expand existing accounts and develop new revenue streams within established relationships.
• Research, map and convert new opportunities across untapped markets and areas.
• Promote new applications and revenue opportunities for the non-ferrous portfolio.
• Build and maintain multi-level relationships with key customers and decision makers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to overcome commercial barriers and secure contracts.
• Utilise internal resources to secure profitable new contracts.
• Conduct structured account reviews to forecast growth and demand.
• Maintain CRM systems, pipelines, and site visit reports.
• Monitor market developments and competitor activity; provide market intelligence.
