Job summary

ARCA Consulting Ltd. is seeking a Senior Battery Design Engineer for a Bristol-based contract role, requiring hands-on, detailed mechanical design of high‑performance battery pack assemblies.

You will own designs from concept through to manufacture, with emphasis on housings, enclosures and HV component packaging. The role involves collaboration with electrical, manufacturing and analysis teams, and expects experience in injection moulding, sheet metal, cast components and sealing.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical/product design experience in battery, EV, automotive or aerospace.
• Hands-on detail design and design ownership experience.
• Experience with injection moulding, sheet metal, cast components and sealing.

Responsibilities

• Detailed mechanical design and development of battery pack assemblies.
• Design of housings, enclosures and internal components.
• Packaging and integration of HV components.
