Job summary

An EVTOL company in Bristol is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of high-performance, safety-critical lithium-ion battery systems for electric aviation. You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, own engineering work packages, and apply CATIA/3DEXPERIENCE skills to deliver safe, reliable battery solutions in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Strong hands-on engineering leadership and knowledge of injection moulding and thermal protection for

Qualifications

Strong technical expertise in lithium-ion batteries, ideally from automotive, aerospace or another technically complex industry.
Excellent systems engineering knowledge and experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
Proven ability to own engineering work packages, proactively manage interfaces and drive technical delivery.
Strong experience with CATIA and/or 3DEXPERIENCE.
Technical leadership experience; people leadership would be advantageous.
Expertise in injection moulding.
Thermal runaway / battery fire protection.
Deep technical knowledge with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach.
