Job summary

GAUCHO Newcastle is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced bartender with cocktails and spirits knowledge, capable of delivering drinks to GAUCHO specs and following the Cycle of Service.

You will have experience managing a team and working well under pressure in a busy, high-end setting, and will contribute to training and mentoring new staff while maintaining stock, presentation and service standards.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience making cocktails.
• Enthusiasm for cocktails and spirits.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-end environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain skills and product knowledge as taught at the GAUCHO Academy.
• Attend and respond to required post-academy company training.
• Support, train and act as a role model to new team members.
• Prepare and close the bar to GAUCHO standards and handover.
• Maintain beverage stock, garnishes and glassware.
• Serve all drink and food orders per Cycle of Service standards.
• Ensure quality and consistency across drinks.
• Ensure drinks meet GAUCHO specifications and timing.
• Stock control and waste awareness.
• Assist BM/HB with stock rotation and waste reduction.

GAUCHO are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Bartender to join our GAUCHO Newcastle team! The idealSenior Bartendercandidate will be an experienced and passionate bartender, with knowledge in cocktails and spirits. They will be able to deliver all drinks according to the company’s specs, following the Cycle of Service. OurSenior Bartendercandidate will have experience managing a team and working well under pressure.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Bartender

• Maintaining skills and product knowledge as taught at the GAUCHO Academy
• Attending and responding to all required post-academy company training
• Supporting, training and acting as a role model to new members of the team
• Completing quality preparation of all duties to clean, set up, handover and close the bar and shift to standard
• Maintaining beverage stock, garnishes and glassware as required
• Service of all drink and food orders in the public bars according to the Cycle of Service standards and timings

• Ensuring all drinks meet GAUCHO specifications, presentation and timing standards
• Stock control & waste awareness.
• Supporting BM/HB with stock control, FIFO stock rotation and waste reduction.

Requirements for GAUCHO Senior Bartender
