Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Risk & Control Manager to lead the Business Banking risk program across the UK, partnering with senior stakeholders to identify, assess and mitigate risks. You will drive risk-informed decision making and embed governance across key processes and products.

Based in a regional office with hybrid working, you will influence remediation efforts, manage a team of risk professionals, and support a resilient control environment tailored to changing regulatory and market

Qualifications

• Significant experience in risk, controls or audit within a regulated financial services environment.
• Excellent understanding of risk management frameworks and control environments within Business Banking.
• Proven ability to manage and shape risk profiles across complex business areas and drive remediation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Risk & Control specialists to manage risk across Business Banking processes.
• Embed strong risk management practices and ensure risks are identified, assessed and mitigated.
• Provide oversight across core processes, driving root cause analysis and sustainable improvements.
• Partner with senior leaders to influence risk ownership and governance, including changes and product development.
