Job summary

Nationwide Building Society is seeking a high performing Manager - Risk & Controls focused on Change Governance, Risk & Controls (GRC). You will lead specialist change risk expertise across enterprise change, delivering risk insights to drive proactive action.

You will engage senior stakeholders, embed risk practices into transformation, and ensure alignment with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework. Hybrid working is supported across the UK.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing change risk within financial services.
• Deep expertise in change policy, risk and controls.
• Strong understanding of change investment and delivery lifecycles.
• Excellent stakeholder relationships up to ExCo with policy/risk ownership.
• Proven delivery experience with problem-solving mindset.
• Data-led approaches to risk management.
• Experience in 1LoD/2LoD/3LoD change risk roles.
• Relevant change/risk certifications (Prince2, IRM, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead specialist change risk services and 1st Line GRC delivery.
• Identify, assess and manage change execution risks across programmes.
• Maintain Change Execution Risk framework, policies and metrics.
• Deliver risk reporting via RCSAs, KRIs, KCIs and loss events.
