Itchyfeet Recruitment Agency is seeking a seasoned Head of Banking for the Prudential Supervision Division on the Isle of Man. The role leads banking supervision, overseeing risk-based regulatory frameworks and strategic initiatives to maintain high standards of compliance.

The successful candidate will develop and coach the Banking Supervision team, implement methodological supervision approaches, engage with stakeholders, report to the executive, and drive risk analytics and change management

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the Prudential Supervision Division’s banking supervision and regulatory frameworks.
• Oversee risk-based supervision of banks and credit unions in compliance with regulations.
• Develop and manage the Banking Supervision team to deliver priorities and divisional plans.
• Implement and apply the Supervisory Methodology for banking and related entities.
• Engage stakeholders to formulate supervisory plans and review firm-specific risks.
• Identify trends in banking-sector risk and supervisory themes.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of regulatory returns submitted by banks.
• Manage complex supervisory matters with timely communication and escalation.
• Oversee data quality improvements to enhance supervisory effectiveness.
• Maintain relationships with industry stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Produce periodic reports and presentations for executive and governance forums.
• Support change management to improve efficiencies within the authority.
