Job summary

Search-Select LTD is seeking a Head of Banking to lead supervision and development of the Island's banking regulatory framework. The postholder will oversee prudential and conduct supervision of banks, credit unions, and payment services providers, guiding a high-performing team and engaging with regulators and industry bodies.

Qualifications

• Hold a professional qualification relevant to the financial services industry.
• Management qualification (ILM/CMI Level 7 or equivalent) desirable.
• Extensive industry experience in operational, banking, compliance, risk, regulatory or audit/accounting roles.
• Extensive strategic leadership/management experience.
• Experience with financial services regulators desirable.
• Extensive knowledge of banking regulation and guidance.
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication abilities.
• Able to identify emerging issues and adapt to change.
• Capable of managing high-pressure workloads and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead banking supervision and regulatory framework workstreams.
• Direct the Banking Supervision team to deliver priorities and plans.
• Oversee prudential and conduct supervision of banks and related entities.
• Develop and manage a high-performing supervisory division.
• Lead the implementation of the Supervisory Methodology for banking entities.
• Formulate and deliver supervisory plans by firm, risk and theme.
• Ensure data quality, analytics, and reporting improvements.
• Represent and engage with banks and regulators in external forums.
