Job description

The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority (“the Authority”) regulates firms engaged in financial activities, including insurance, pensions, banking, investments, fiduciary services and fund administration. The Authority is also responsible for oversight of anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance for those involved in the financial sector as well as a range of other Designated Businesses and has oversight of compliance with the Beneficial Ownership Act 2017.

HEAD OF BANKING – PRUDENTIAL SUPERVISION

An exciting and dynamic opportunity has arisen at the Authority for the role of Head of Banking within the Prudential Supervision Division. This role is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of supervision and maintenance/development of the regulatory framework applicable to the Island’s banking sector.

The successful candidate will have extensive relevant industry experience in an operational, banking, compliance, risk, regulatory or audit/accounting role and also extensive experience in a strategic leadership/management role with the ability to work in a collaborative style. Also essential is extensive working knowledge of the Banking sector and associated legislation, regulation and guidance and a professional qualification relevant to the financial services industry.
