Job summary

Itchyfeet client is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate to join their Jersey-based Banking and Finance team. You will provide commercial legal advice, prepare and negotiate Jersey transaction documents, and liaise with instructing counsel to manage Jersey transaction processes.

In this role you will prepare fee estimates, meet deadlines, and support Partners and senior lawyers. You’ll also contribute to knowledge production and help develop junior teammates and business development initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5-6 years relevant post-qualification experience (PQE).
• Admitted to practice in England & Wales or Jersey.
• Flexible mindset with a proven track record of navigating diverse challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate commercial advice to clients.
• Prepare and negotiate Jersey transaction documents.
• Liaise with instructing counsel to provide Jersey transaction management support.
• Prepare fee estimates and keep clients informed in relation to fees.
• Take responsibility for delegated work and seek appropriate guidance from the Partners and senior lawyers as necessary.
• Contribute to producing know-how.
• Support the Partners in developing more junior members of the team.
• Assist the Partners and senior lawyers with appropriate business development activities.
