Job summary

Itchyfeet client is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate to join their Jersey-based Banking and Finance team. You will provide commercial legal advice, prepare and negotiate Jersey transaction documents, and liaise with instructing counsel to manage Jersey transaction processes.

In this role you will prepare fee estimates, meet deadlines, and support Partners and senior lawyers. You’ll also contribute to knowledge production and help develop junior teammates and business development initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5-6 years relevant post-qualification experience (PQE).
• Admitted to practice in England & Wales or Jersey.
• Flexible mindset with a proven track record of navigating diverse challenges.

In this full-time role, you will provide vital support to the Partners, assisting clients in achieving their business or personal goals through efficient legal advice delivery. Your responsibilities will include offering accurate commercial advice, ensuring excellent client service, and preparing as well as negotiating transaction documents. You will liaise with instructing counsel to manage Jersey transaction processes, effectively handle deadlines, and prepare fee estimates while keeping clients informed. Additionally, you will take ownership of delegated tasks and seek guidance from the Partners and senior lawyers as necessary. Contributing to knowledge production and supporting the Partners in the development of junior team members and business development initiatives are also key aspects of this role.
