Preply is seeking a Senior Full-stack Engineer (backend-heavy) in London. You’ll work in a hybrid setup within Engineering, building scalable backend services with Python/Django while contributing to frontend in React/TS.

You’ll own complex initiatives end‑to‑end, mentor others, and shape architecture in collaboration with product and data teams. We value proactive problem solving, strong collaboration, and a growth mindset, with exposure to AI-enabled development and a fast-growing learning

Formación

• Backend-heavy role (~60% backend, 40% frontend).
• Strong experience with Python/Django development.
• Experience with React/Typescript is a plus.
• Ability to own features end-to-end and drive architecture.

Responsabilidades

• Back-end development: build and own backend features with Python/Django and integrations.
• UI development: evolve frontend in React/Typescript and contribute to frontend best practices.
• Lead complex initiatives from discovery to deployment with long‑term sustainability.
• Raise engineering excellence via reviews, mentoring and best practices.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, and UX to maximize customer value through experiments.
• Shape system architecture for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Prioritize work and align technical decisions with business impact.
• Provide technical leadership beyond the immediate scope.
• Maintain high craftsmanship, curiosity and a growth mindset.
