Job summary

Client Server Ltd. is hiring a Senior Backend Developer to own and extend our backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript. You’ll design robust APIs, build microservices, and help ensure 99% uptime while working with Kafka and event-driven architectures.

You can work remotely from anywhere in the UK, with a salary range up to £80k and benefits including private medical care, life assurance, and generous holiday. Collaboration with game teams and DevOps enables scalable, reliable platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of microservices, RESTful APIs and scalable systems.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Strong DevOps understanding: CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
• Familiarity with Docker, AWS, and Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Own and design robust backend code and features using TypeScript/Node.js.
• Design, implement and extend APIs and microservices supporting gameplay and user management.
• Collaborate with product, game teams and DevOps to ensure uptime, observability, and deployment reliability.
• Mentor junior team members and take ownership of complex systems and performance bottlenecks.
