Job summary

rmg digital is seeking a Backend Engineer to help build the next generation of its insurance technology platform. You will design, implement and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for the core underwriting platform, mobile applications and ML pipelines.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience developing backend applications with Node.js.
• A solid understanding of software architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and building production-grade APIs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and CS fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Develop APIs and services supporting the platform, apps and integrations.
• Contribute to system architecture and long-term engineering strategy.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering to deliver features.
• Own the services you build with reliability and observability.
• Participate in on-call support and improve system performance.
