Additional Resources Recruitment is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Cheltenham to own high-performance backend systems. You will design and implement Java and C++ services, build APIs, microservices, and distributed applications in Linux environments.

Lead technical design, mentor engineers, contribute to architecture, and support CI/CD, DevSecOps practices. The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong problem solving, and collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong Java and/or C++ development skills.
• Experience in Linux environments.
• Backend applications, APIs and distributed systems experience.
• Understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with multithreading and concurrent development.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or Azure DevOps.
• Strong debugging and performance analysis skills.
• Experience in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing high-performance backend applications using Java and C++.
• Building APIs, microservices and distributed applications.
• Leading the technical design and implementation of software components and services.
• Developing multithreaded and concurrent applications.
