Job summary

iO Associates is seeking a Senior C++ Engineer for a Cheltenham-based contract role. The position requires leading end-to-end projects in a security-focused setting, with occasional Python tooling for automation or testing alongside core C++ development.

Candidates with experience in Security, Defence or Financial Services will be viewed favorably. The role is based in Cheltenham, 4–5 days per week, on a 6–12 month contract and requires SC clearance or clearable status.

I am working on behalf of a National Security client based out of Cheltenham who are looking for a Senior C++ Engineer to join them on a Contract basis.

We’re looking for a C++ Engineer who has led end‑end projects and enjoys solving complex technical problems in areas like software defined radio. The role would suit someone open to some python for tooling, automation, or testing alongside core C++ development. If you are currently working in Security, Defence or Financial Services this would be a big bonus for the client.

Again, this role will be based out of Cheltenham 4-5 Days per week and you must be SC‑Cleared or SC Clearable to be considered.

Active SC minimum is non‑negotiable
