Job summary

ExTrac is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in London to help build and operate backend microservices that power our decision intelligence platform. You will own services end to end across Go and Python codebases, work with AI, frontend, analysts, and product managers, and focus on performance, reliability, and scalable data pipelines.

You will design APIs, optimize databases and indices, and contribute to system architecture decisions while collaborating across teams to deliver

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building production-grade backend systems.
• Proficiency in building microservices with Go or Python.

Responsibilities

• Own Go/Python backends, databases, and APIs end-to-end.
• Design APIs with clear contracts and versioning as user base grows.
• Build and operate high-throughput data pipelines and scalable services.
• Ensure latency, cost, and reliability meet production standards.
