Job summary

Robinhood in London is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the design and delivery of core systems moving institutional money. You will lead engineers through high-ambiguity problems, establish reliability and correctness, and partner with stakeholders across Robinhood.

This role requires in-person work in London with at least 3 days/week in the office and participation in an on-call rotation. You will emphasize strong design, idempotency, and exact-once semantics while mentoring others

Qualifications

Experience building financial-grade backend systems with high reliability.
Strong design and implementation of complex distributed state and idempotency.
Excellent communication and ability to mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end design and delivery of large, high-complexity systems handling institutional money.
Create detailed technical designs and decompose work for teams.
Shape the technical roadmap and drive reliability and risk-control work.
Mentor engineers and serve as technical point of contact for partner teams.
