Robinhood, London-based fintech, seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to build and run the AWS-backed custody infrastructure, manage blockchain nodes, and implement secure, scalable wallet operations. The role emphasizes on-call readiness and collaboration with external custodians.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience running cloud infrastructure (AWS) in production.
• Experience managing blockchain nodes in production.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, or similar configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Build and run the AWS infrastructure behind custody, key management, and blockchain node operations.
• Automate infrastructure and configuration management to reduce manual operations.
• Run blockchain nodes across networks and keep them healthy and available.
• Write and maintain Python services for infrastructure management and wallet operations.
• Own integrations with third-party custodians.
• Build out Kubernetes and Docker deployments as we containerize the custody stack.
• Set up monitoring and alerting with Prometheus/Grafana.
• Apply security controls and key management across systems.
