Robinhood in London is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to own the design and end-to-end delivery of core systems that move institutional money. You will lead other engineers through high-ambiguity problems and set the technical bar for reliability and correctness.

You’ll collaborate across teams, participate in on-call rotations, and mentor engineers to raise the bar. The role sits in a fast-moving Prime team that builds cross-venue settlement, lending, and order flow platforms.

Qualifications

• Independent delivery of complex backend projects in production.
• Experience building financial systems with emphasis on correctness.
• Strong design, invariants, and failure-mode reasoning.
• Excellent cross-team communication and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of large systems moving institutional money.
• Create detailed technical designs and break work into reviewable steps.
• Shape technical roadmap with focus on reliability and risk control.
• Mentor engineers and serve as technical contact across teams.
