Owen Thomas | B Corp™ in London is seeking a Senior Product Engineer (Backend focused) to own the design and delivery of cards, payments and stablecoin related infrastructure. The role emphasizes rapid iteration, reliability and scale in a high-growth FinTech environment.

You will collaborate with product and engineering to build core backend systems, APIs and distributed services, with ownership from architecture to production.

Qualifications

• Experience building card products, issuing or processing payments.
• Previous work in a high-growth/start-up environment with significant ownership.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to ship end-to-end.
• Ability to take ownership, make decisions and work autonomously.
• Experience with distributed systems, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale complex financial products across cards, payments and fintech infrastructure.
• Develop reliable backend services and APIs (Go where applicable).
• Own engineering challenges from architecture to production for critical systems.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to turn ideas into working products.
• Influence engineering standards and technical direction in a fast-moving start-up.
