Owen Thomas | B Corp™ in London is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build the payments infrastructure for a fast-growing B2B AI payments start-up. You will work on backend services that move customer money, design high-throughput distributed systems, and integrate with banks and payment providers.

The role offers hybrid work with 1–3 days in the office, and a salary up to £130,000 plus benefits and equity.

Qualificações

• Proven backend experience in Go or a similar systems language.
• Experience in payments, fintech or banking.
• Experience with distributed, high-throughput systems.
• Experience with AWS, databases and messaging.
• Experience applying AI within engineering is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Build backend services moving customer money from A to B.
• Develop distributed systems prioritising performance.
• Work on ledgers, settlement and integrations with banks and payment providers.
• Design event-driven systems with high uptime.
• Own services from design to production.
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, and Forward Deployed Engineers.
