Job summary

Commify is seeking an exceptional Senior Backend Engineer to own complex backend services, databases, and technical outcomes. You will drive architecture decisions, elevate engineering standards, and mentor the next generation of engineers while collaborating closely with Product Managers to refine requirements.

In an agile environment, you will balance feature delivery with resilience, performance, security, and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

Strong backend design in C#/.NET and backend services.
Experience with distributed systems and event-driven patterns.
SQL data modeling and query optimization on Azure.
Experience with unit and integration testing.
Experience using AI tools in the development process.
DevOps mindset with Agile, Git and CI/CD practices.
Ability to mentor and lead engineering peers.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test, and refactor backend services and databases in C#/.NET.
Support platform modernization and migration to containerised services.
Lead code reviews and raise engineering standards, security, and testing.
Collaborate with Product Owners to shape acceptance criteria for real user outcomes.
Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, observability, and QA collaboration.
Balance design trade-offs with security, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
