Job summary

Commify-Group is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own complex backend services and databases, drive architectural decisions, and elevate engineering standards. You’ll work with Product Managers to refine requirements, balancing features with resilience, security, and cost-efficiency in an agile environment.

You’ll lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and contribute to CI/CD, observability, and testing, while collaborating across product and tech teams to deliver real-world outcomes.

Qualifications

• Backend design and build experience in C#/.NET
• Experience building loosely coupled distributed systems
• Strong SQL design and query optimization; Azure cloud experience
• Commitment to unit/integration testing
• Pragmatic use of AI coding tools with critical review mindset
• Proficient in Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to mentor and lead engineers
• Experience with modern .NET versions and Azure services (bonus)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and refactor backend services and databases in C#/.NET
• Support architecture evolution and migrate serverless workloads to containerised services
• Lead code reviews and mentor engineers to raise engineering standards
• Collaborate with Product Owners to shape acceptance criteria for real-world outcomes
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines; oversee observability and testing
• Balance design choices with security, performance, and cost-efficiency
