Job summary

Meltwater is seeking a passionate software engineer to join the API & Exports team in London. You will own design, development, and optimization of APIs, export pipelines, and MCP features, focusing on scalable, cloud-native solutions with Golang.

You will work with product managers and senior engineers to define functionality for high-throughput data pipelines, observability, and incident response. Prior experience with AWS, microservices, and data exports is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
• Proficiency in Golang is required.
• Experience designing resilient REST APIs and cloud-native applications (AWS preferred).
• Good understanding of microservice architecture and backend design principles.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, development, and optimization of API, export and MCP features.
• Collaborate with product managers and senior engineers to define functionality and architect high-throughput data pipelines.
• Build robust export pipelines, streaming architectures, webhook integrations and MCP servers.
• Maintain high observability and reliability with tools like Coralogix, CloudWatch, and Grafana.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response for owned services.
