Job summary

Brahma AI is building enterprise-grade generative media solutions, combining MAM workflows with scalable backend services in the cloud. We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to architect and scale core server-side services, APIs, and data pipelines that power our AI-driven media processing stack.

You will collaborate with ML researchers and DevOps, optimize performance, and ensure low-latency, high-throughput systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with server-side Python.
• Experience designing scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and async/event-driven systems.
• Strong PostgreSQL design and Redis caching.
• Production observability including logging, monitoring, alerting.
• Experience with AI tools and LLM APIs.
• Understanding AI model training vs inference latency.
• Basic frontend knowledge to collaborate with UI engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures for AI-powered media workflows.
• Build data pipelines, schemas, and caching layers (PostgreSQL, Redis) for large-scale media.
• Integrate model inference and training workflows into production backend systems.
• Implement logging, metrics, and alerting; collaborate with DevOps on incidents.
• Optimise server-side code, async queues, and DB queries for low latency and high throughput.
• Work with frontend/product teams to expose API contracts clearly.
