Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and evolve high-quality backend services. You will own critical components, shape API design, data models, and scalable platforms across multiple domains.

You will collaborate with product and architecture teams to deliver reliable, observable, and secure systems, mentor peers, and apply AI/ML-enabled approaches in line with Expedia Group standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional software engineering experience with ownership of significant services in a multi-service environment.
• Proven ability to design and build backend or full-stack systems with RESTful APIs and data models.
• Experience with software engineering practices: automated testing, code review, CI/CD, production systems.
• Hands-on experience supporting services in production, including monitoring and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evolve high-quality software services and components.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex features across services or domains.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and cross-functional teams to align on standards.
• Improve reliability, performance, security, and observability of services.
