Job summary

Placements24 is representing a rapidly expanding blockchain technology company seeking a Senior Backend Blockchain Engineer in Randburg. You will design, build, and scale backend services powering blockchain solutions, focusing on performance, security, and reliability.

You’ll work with Go, Node.js or Python and collaborate with smart contract engineers and product teams to deliver robust blockchain infrastructure. A bachelor's degree and strong problem-solving skills are required.

Qualifications

• Proven Backend Engineer with significant exposure to blockchain technologies.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Node.js, Python, or Java for backend systems.
• Deep understanding of blockchain architecture, distributed systems and consensus.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and caching.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience in designing RESTful APIs and integration with external services.
• Knowledge of smart contracts is a plus.
• Excellent problem solving, debugging, and collaboration skills.
