Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Randburg-based technology team in a hybrid role mixing in-office collaboration with remote work. You will design, develop, and maintain robust backend services powering our products, with emphasis on scalable architectures, efficient databases, and modern development practices.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of backend experience, strong proficiency in major backend languages, and solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, Node.js, or C#.
• Strong database experience with relational and/or NoSQL systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid RESTful API design and microservices architecture knowledge.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Requirements
