Job summary

Galaxy is seeking a senior backend engineer to design and build scalable systems powering blockchain infrastructure and staking products. You will own end-to-end architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and observability, collaborating across Ethereum execution and consensus layers.

The role emphasizes architecture, design practices, and engineering culture, with opportunities to mentor and shape the team’s evolution.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong testing practices for complex and stateful systems.
• Experience with blockchain systems, preferably Ethereum.
• Hands-on experience with Ethereum nodes or validator/staking infra.
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps.

Responsibilities

• Build and own backend systems.
• Design and build APIs, Ethereum data pipelines and indexers, staking and validator infrastructure integrations, and monitoring tooling.
• Own system design end-to-end: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment and observability.
• Work across the Ethereum stack, integrating with execution and consensus layers.
• Mentor engineers through code review and design feedback.
• Contribute to engineering culture and improve team practices.
