Job summary

Mayflower Washroom Solutions, part of the phs Group, seeks an ambitious Business Development Manager for a national field-based role in the UK. You will win high-value accounts, build senior stakeholder relationships and drive sustainable revenue growth across multiple sectors.

Expect a base of £50–55k (DOE) plus a £20k on-target bonus, plus a company car or allowance, and a comprehensive benefits package. You’ll work nationally with a focus on strategic, multi-site opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' successful B2B field sales experience.
• Proven track record of winning and developing significant new business accounts.
• Experience in Janitorial Supplies, Hygiene Solutions, FM, Workplace Consumables, Cleaning Products, or Industrial Consumables.
• Experience selling into multi-site and national organisations.
• Demonstrable success securing accounts worth £50,000+ annually.
• Strong presentation and proposal-writing capabilities.
• Strategic and consultative approach to sales.
• Strong relationship-building with executive-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across the UK.
• Target medium and large organisations with annual spend > £50,000.
• Build relationships with procurement, facilities management, operations, and senior decision-makers.
• Create and deliver compelling proposals and commercial solutions.
• Conduct customer meetings and site visits to understand requirements and opportunities.
• Manage a healthy pipeline through to successful contract award.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure commercially successful solutions for customers.
• Target organisations across Facilities Management, Contract Cleaning, Transport, Hospitality and Leisure, Education, Government, and multi-site organisations.
